The National School Sport Week 2017 was a huge celebration of everything that is great about PE and school sport and is a chance to raise participation levels across the school.
During the week the students took part in a variety of alternative sports during PE lessons which included clubbersize, kinball, dodgeball, street surfing, Danish longball and lacrosse.
There were a range of activities put on after school including dodgeball and football tournaments, trampolining and a staff versus Year 10 netball game. Luckily victory went to the teachers!
The week was celebrated even further by the Year 7s who were lucky enough to relate their classroom lessons to sports. There was such an amazing atmosphere across the school for them as they were taking part in activities such as rap battles in music, creating tournaments and analysing results in maths, learning about respiration in an active science lesson and healthy eating in SME to name just a few!
