As advised by Public Health England, there will be three vaccination programmes held in school during the academic year.

Immunisations for young people – your questions answered

All Year 10 students will be offered the ‘School Leaver Booster and Meningitis ACWY’ vaccination as part of a new programme which was previously provided for by GP practices. This will take place on Thursday 26th January 2017.

Year 10 letter to parents / carers

All Year 9 students will also be offered the ‘School Leaver Booster and Meningitis ACWY’ vaccination, which will eliminate the need to have this in Year 10.  This will take place on Friday 10th February 2017.

Year 9 letter to parents / carers

Year 8 Girls will be offered the HPV vaccination over two sessions, with the first session taking place on Wednesday  26th April 2017 and the second session in the following academic year (date to be arranged).

Year 9 Girls will be offered their second session of the HPV vaccination on Wednesday 26th April 2017.

Full details of these vaccinations and consent forms will be sent to Parent/Carers concerned in due course.

Durrington Health Centre Catch-up Clinics

The NHS Immunisation Team are running ‘catch-up’ clinics for those students that missed their vaccinations in school. These clinics are ‘drop in’ so students can come at any time as stated, but must be accompanied by an adult.
